Blacks is back! Off The Shelf – Monday 1st October 2012, 11am

Off The Shelf at Blacks is a new literature collaboration between Blacks Club and the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Books Committee. It is a series of monthly, one day residencies for fiction writers that are held on the last Monday of the month, and yours truly is September’s author!

Cost for each day is £25 (£20 to Writers’ Guild members). This includes coffee, bread and olives, two course lunch, and all day and evening use of Blacks. You will also get an automatic reference if you want club membership.

The day starts at 11am with a welcome coffee and an introduction by Off The Shelf’s ‘Secretary of Tongues’ (Cromwell’s term for Milton), Jan Woolf ~Writer and Writers Guild Books Committee member. The Speaker will then read from previously published work as well as work in progress. An audience of up to 23 can discuss the work and writing processes. This is an opportunity for established authors to receive mature critical feedback and for the audience to obtain some guidance too. At
12:30pm a two course lunch will be served in the restaurant followed by an open mic, session during which participants can read short extracts from their own work if  you wish.

To book a place, email moira@blacksclub.com (stating if you are a WGGB member) or for more information janwoolf@hotmail.com. But hurry, there are only a few places left and it is an incredible bargain.

Please come to the Fiction Writing Salon at Blacks, 67 Dean Street, London W1D 4QH, UK.

Don’t make me eat alone!
